No PC-interface working after firmware update was created by martron
Hi,
although the Xprotolab is a very decent development, it managed to surprise me just after updating to the firmware version 2.13. Luckily, everything worked out as described in the manual.
So, the Xprotolab works fine. But, other than before, the PC-interface does not work any longer. Nothing has been changed on my PC. It runs under Win 8, as before. I do not find any item in my device manager as indicated by the .png file "Gabotronics -> Xscope".
What have I done wrong?
Suggestions highly welcome.

Many thanks for your quick reply! However, I did do the update to v0,27 (XScope Interface Version: 0.10.4847.24869) before. After doing that again right now, still no appearance of Gabotronics in my device Manager. And, I am logged in as administrator.
Any ideas what still my be wrong?

Ok, two questions: 1) when plugging in the device, do you see the red LED blink momentarily? If not, check the cable or try another USB port. 2) Does windows give any indication of a new plugged device? (so you hear the typical sound?)

On plugging in the micro USB connector, there is a short red flash and the typical sound comes up. Also there is a status icon in the systems tray indicating the connected item. Just nothing in the device manager.

I think the problem is that you still have the old driver installed. Look under "Universal Serial Bus Controllers", I think you should find an item saying XMEGA or XScope. Uninstall this driver, then install the new driver.
